Ages 8-15
Young Om-Kas-Toe longs for the day when he can be a brave. While serving as lookouts, he and his twin sister discover a strange animal never before seen by the Blackfeet tribe. The tribe calls the creature an "elkdog." (Today we call it a horse.) The discovery changes life in the tribe forever.
